Covid-19 August Update

Published 20:34 on 28 Aug 2020

The Committee are constantly trying to adjust and update the Covid-19 restrictions.

When arriving at the gate please use your fob, even if the gate is open. This enables us to monitor who is on site if we need to contact and trace people.

You can now bring 2 guests on site during one visit provided that they are from your immediate family or same household, social distancing rules still apply.

Guests must be pre-registered by email to

The clubhouse is open on a Sunday morning at present, for those who wish to use the toilets or buy refreshments, but unfortunately no changing facilities are available.

We also have a safety boat on the water from 10.30am till 1.00pm on Sundays, which may be extended. You may have seen safety on the water in the afternoons, this is due to our safety drivers and crews trying out the different techniques required on the water if someone needs assistance while we maintain Covid-19 rules. When going on the water please assess the situation before setting off, also apply the rule of two boats on the water for support. When using the jetties allow anyone on there to clear to keep a social distance.

Also remember that canoe/kayak/paddleboards always need to stay between the bank and the outer marker buoys and not to go across the lake. This gives you the ability to get to the lake edge if needed.

Camping is now allowed and must be booked in advance on the club website. Please carry a copy of your booking with you as proof, should you be asked for it.

Boat hire may soon be possible on Sunday mornings, we are shortly trying a booking on-line system and then hopefully making it regular.
